As a parent or caregiver, you want to do what’s best for your child, but parenting isn't always easy. Parenting and caregiver programs can provide support, practical strategies, and opportunities to connect with others who may be facing similar experiences.

Parent Link connects parents and caregivers with parenting classes, workshops, and support groups available throughout Windsor-Essex.

Programs are offered by local community agencies and are designed to help parents and caregivers learn practical skills, build on their strengths, and support their children's growth and development.

RCC Groups

Join us for an in-person group or workshop at the Regional Children’s Centre. Our programs offer practical tools, information, and support. To register, call 519-257-KIDS (5437).

 

Child & Parent/Caregiver Groups

Emotion Detectives - 8 week program

Parents and children explore emotions and how they affect thoughts and behaviours. Learn practical ways to recognize, understand, and manage feelings while building healthy coping skills.

Parent/Caregiver Groups

Circle of Security™ - 8 week program

Build a stronger relationship with your child. Learn to understand their emotional needs, support their self-esteem, and create a secure connection that helps them grow and thrive.

Safe Boundaries - 2 week program

Learn how to recognize and respond to sexualized behaviours in children. Explore ways to teach consent, privacy, and personal boundaries while supporting your child's emotional well-being.

Trauma Informed Parenting (TIP) - 7 week program

Learn how trauma can affect a child's development, emotions, and behaviour. Discover practical strategies to respond with confidence and support your child's healing and growth.

Community Parenting/Caregiver Programs

We work with community partners to offer a variety of parenting and caregiver workshops throughout the year. Most programs are available online, allowing parents and caregivers to join from the comfort of their own home. Registration information is provided below.
